At the Forge, we believe in the local church. It is the vehicle of Jesus Christ to reach the world and to support those in the family of God. Our mission is to play a small role in helping men move forward in their walk with Jesus Christ so that they can go home and make a greater impact in the church and in the community. The following is a testimony of one Pastor who has led men through the Forge and keeps sending them our way.
Testimony
“As pastor of Grace Bible Church in Owosso, I absolutely love what is happening at The Forge. Coming out of the 2020 pandemic lock-downs and looking to revitalize some key ministry areas, I was searching for an activity to help kick-start a Men’s Ministry at our church. My goal was to connect men with God’s Word, connect with each other and begin training in leadership. That’s when I heard about The Forge. With the popularity of shows like “Forged In Fire”, this event captured the interest of our guys. Our first trip filled up quickly and we had a fantastic time learning about Biblical manhood as well as hammering out some red-hot metal. Kevin Green does a brilliant job whether he is unpacking Biblical truth or coaching guys in smithing skills. The late night conversations around the campfire were just what I had been praying for. Our guys were deeply impacted by the events of the weekend. Returning home, this group of men became the backbone of a new Men’s Ministry that now meets weekly for deeper Bible study, leadership development, encouragement and prayer.
The Sunday we put out the sign-up sheet for this year’s trip back to The Forge, it filled up almost immediately with half the names being younger men who are newer to our church. We are excited to partner with The Forge! -Pastor Tim”
